2020 in retrospect: Getting back into it

Hosier Lane, Melbourne

2020 probably won't be remembered as most people's favourite year but it certainly has been an interesting one. For me it's been a year of picking up the camera again which I've really enjoyed. According to my Lightroom catalogue I took more than 10 times the amount of photos in 2020 than I did just two years ago in 2018 which I find amazing!

When restrictions kicked off earlier this year I made it a focus to shoot more around my home city of Melbourne and build up my portfolio again. I photographed a lot around Melbourne when I first got into photography but then after I'd really only pick up the camera and shoot when I travelled. So much of the Melbourne city skyline has changed compared to when I first started shooting it around 15 years ago, it's been amazing to see the changes when comparing new photos of the city to my old ones. Here's just a very small selection of images I've taken this year.

Which one is your favourite!? Let me know in the comments below!
