Her Defender Shoot

It’s no secret that I’ve always loved cars of all shapes and sizes, sports cars are amongst my favourite but I’ve always had a soft spot for four wheel drives as well. When my long-time friend Jess purchased a Land Rover Defender I thought it would be a great car to shoot.

‘Beatrice’ The Defender has its roots in the original Land Rover series dating back to the 1940s but the Defender was brought to life as a Land Rover model in the 1980s. It’s a vehicle loved by 4WD enthusiasts all over the world including here in Australia.

Here’s some shots from a mild autumn morning out in the Dandenong Ranges. Locations include the Puffing Billy Trestle Bridge, Sherbrooke Road, Silvan Reservoir and Silvan Road. All of these shots were taken with my Sony A7R IV and most with my 70-200mm f4 lens with a Lee filters polarising filter attached to the front of the lens.
